St Johnstone produced a dramatic comeback to secure their first win of the season at Rugby Park.
Michael O’Halloran scored deep into stoppage time after David Wotherspoon had equalised with just five minutes left of the 90 minutes.
The McDiarmid Park side shot themselves in the foot with a defensive mix up for Kilmarnock’s second half opener.
By the time Wotherspoon levelled they had been knocking at the door for half-an-hour against 10 men.
And then O’Halloran – the red card sinner on day one at Tannadice – latched on to a short back pass to become the hero a fortnight later.
Saints were fortunate to get to half-time with the game goalless.
Callum Hendry came close when the Danny Rogers dropped a deep cross that should have been food and drink for a Premiership keeper but that was their only chance of the first period.
At the other end Liam Gordon twice came to the rescue with penalty box challenges to deny Chris Burke and Nicke Kabamba.
There were also a couple of good Elliott Parish saves and a Kirk Broadfoot header from a corner that smashed off the face of the cross bar.
Saints were better after the re-start, with Rogers saving a Hendry 20-yard free-kick low to his right. But they fell behind just after the hour mark – and it was calamitous defending.
A harmless ball from the right was left by Shaun Rooney – presumably thinking Parish was coming to meet it – and it gave Killie the simple task of working the ball to Aaron Tshibola, who finished into an empty net.
Ross Millen didn’t make life easy for the hosts when he got a straight red card for a dangerous tackle on Scott Tanser a couple of minutes after their opener.
And near constant pressure from Saints culminated in substitute Wotherspoon putting away a Liam Craig cut-back from close range.
Then, four minutes into added time Stuart Findlay underhit a back pass which O’Halloran superbly cashed in on.
