Danny McNamara expects the goals and points to flow for St Johnstone now that they have secured their first home win of the season.
The Perth side were even more dominant against St Mirren than they had been against Aberdeen and Hibs in their two previous McDiarmid Park fixtures.
But this time there was no hard luck story.
Stevie May came off the bench to seal a weekend victory that takes Callum Davidson’s men into the international break on seven Premiership points, with a strong platform to build on when they return to action in just under a fortnight.
“It’s always good to get the first home win of the season,” said McNamara. “It had been coming after the last two games. Today we managed to put the ball in the net.
“We knew that we’d been playing well. We were creating lot of chances and we would have had to be really unlucky not to win that game.
“When we get a little bit better in the final third it won’t be long until we’re putting two, three or four away. We can definitely move up the table.”
