St Johnstone defender Wallace Duffy has joined Morton in a season-long loan deal.
Courier Sport revealed last week that the former Celtic kid was a transfer target for David Hopkin’s Championship outfit whose campaign kicks off next month.
And the 21-year-old’s switch was confirmed this afternoon.
Saints said: “This sees another highly rated youngster take the steps out on loan in order to expand their skill set and experience.
“We feel that Greenock Morton is an excellent outfit for Wallace to continue to grow and develop.
“Everyone at Saints wishes Wallace all the best.”
The full-back has been an unused substitute in the seven games played this season under new McDiarmid Park manager Callum Davidson.
Duffy – capped by Scotland at U-17 and U-19 level – joined St Johnstone last summer following his release from the Hoops.
He made 15 appearances under Perth legend Tommy Wright, with his last outing a 3-0 home defeat to his former club in January.
