An unbeaten end to the season is St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright’s new aim.
The Perth men only need a point to secure fourth place in the Premiership, and might not even require that.
But there is a determination to keep their superb post-split form going right until the very end.
Celtic are next up at McDiarmid Park tomorrow night, with a trip to face Hearts on Sunday to round off the campaign.
“The three performances and the three results have been just what was needed,” Wright said.
“We went unbeaten last year after the split – two wins and three draws – so that has to be the aim again.
“We have put ourselves in a really strong position now to secure fourth place and that says it all about the attitude of the players here.
“We need a point to seal it and there is a desire to go right to the end and not take our foot off the gas. It is in our own hands.”
Wright revealed that Murray Davidson won’t kick a ball again this season, but the hamstring injury that has got the better of him isn’t a serious one.
“The injury situation isn’t good,” the Saints boss admitted. “Chris Millar will miss Celtic but has a chance of coming back against Hearts.
“But Murray’s season is over with the hamstring strain, it’s a two to three weeks one, and Simon Lappin is still out.
“Darnell (Fisher) can’t play against Celtic but we have coped all season and dug into the squad.
“Scott Brown will get another opportunity – he’s done well in the last two games – and Liam Craig has done very well in centre midfield.”
Wright believes there is every reason to suspect tomorrow’s live TV game will be an exciting one for the viewers.
He said: “We have had entertaining games against Celtic after the split and we are looking to get at least a point.
“There was a 0-0 that could have been 6-6, and there’s been a 3-3.
“Celtic have had a good season in terms of the league. It’s job done after beating Aberdeen.
“I am sure Ronny (Deila) will want to finish the season in style and he will be looking for two victories.
“But if they have been celebrating hopefully we can catch them on the hop.
“He has won two titles and a cup but that shows you the level of success that is demanded as manager of a club like Celtic.
“Because of Europe and going out of cups he ends up losing his job.
“What they are aiming for in terms of Europe hasn’t been achieved but Ronny has still done a decent job.”
Meanwhile, there was nothing new to report regarding incomings or contract extensions.
