Paul Paton has wished Dundee United “every success in returning to the Scottish Premiership next season” after his move to St Johnstone was confirmed.
In a statement issued by the Tangerines, the midfielder said: “I would like to thank the supporters and everybody at Tannadice for my time at the club. There will always be a tangerine spot in my heart and I wish Dundee United every success in returning to the Scottish Premiership next season.”
A Saints statement read: “Following his release by Dundee United FC, Saints are delighted to confirm that Paul Paton has signed a two-year deal at McDiarmid Park.”
A spokesman for United said: “We would like to thank Paul for his outstanding service to the club and wish him all the very best for his future.”
