St Johnstone’s Murray Davidson is set to feature in tonight’s pre-season friendly at Livingston.
The midfielder was forced to sit out Saints game against Glentoran in Belfast at the weekend, a match Tommy Wright’s men won 2-1 thanks to goals from Steven MacLean and Chris Kane.
Now though, Davidson has recovered enough to play against Livi, in what will be the last friendly before St Johnstone are in competitive action on Saturday in the Betfred Cup in Elgin.
Wright said: “Murray Davidson had a slight strain on his thigh so didn’t play last weekend but he’ll get some game time against Livingston.
“He’s suspended for the League Cup at the weekend anyway so we will use him in the other friendlies to get him up to speed.
“I’m still looking and would like to bring a striker in.
“We will wait and see what happens. I’m happy to be patient with that.”
Tonight’s game kicks off at 7.30pm.
