St Johnstone will play a glamour friendly against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
The match – in Manchester – will be a closed-doors game next midweek, with no public access.
Courier Sport understands that Saints will be facing the full City first team, including the likes of Sergio Aguero.
Guardiola wanted to add another game into a pre-season schedule that included a penalty shoot-out win over Borussia Dortmund.
Saints boss Tommy Wright said: “It has come out of the blue through a contact of mine and we were, as you can imagine, delighted to accept the opportunity.
“It will be a fantastic experience for the players and will add the final piece to our pre-season plans.”
