Tommy Wright has decided he will be “better keeping my thoughts to myself” regarding Danny Swanson’s switch from St Johnstone to Hibs.
The Perth boss confirmed that the former Dundee United and Hearts man has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Championship title winners.
He didn’t want to say too much about the loss of a player he was keen to keep at McDiarmid Park, and didn’t comment on whether or not Swanson will feature in Saints’ post-split fixtures.
Wright said: “Apparently it’s done. Hibs have contacted us.
“It’s one of those situations that, as a manager, we’ll move on from and I’m better keeping my thoughts to myself.
“That’s the only comment I really want to make.
“My focus is getting fourth place and getting a result at Aberdeen.
“Players come and go. It happens all the time.”
Meanwhile, Wright confirmed that Chris Millar is on the verge of signing a new one year contract.
He said: “Everything is agreed in principle but it’s not been signed. Midge is an important member of our squad and team.”
