St Johnstone’s preparations for Saturday’s clash with Hamilton Accies have been disrupted by the Beast from the East.
Thursday training would normally take place at Stirling University but the campus is right in the middle of the ‘red warning’ area across Scotland’s central belt.
Perth’s conditions aren’t quite as bad but getting the players to McDiarmid Park was a non-starter.
So training, as expected, has been called off for the day.
Whether the conditions improve enough tomorrow remains to be seen.
If it goes ahead, Saturday’s game against Hamilton Accies is an opportunity for Saints to pull away from the Premiership relegation battle. It would be their third game in a week, after beating Ross County last weekend and losing to Rangers in midweek.
