St Johnstone have signed Coclester United midfielder Drey Wright on a pre-contract.
The 23-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the McDiarmid men, which will be enacted in July.
The right-sided player has made 148 appearances for Colchester in all competitions, scoring nine goals.
He has turned out for the club in both England’s League One and League Two across six seasons.
Manager Tommy Wright welcomed him on board, saying: “Drey is a player we’ve watched over a period of time and we were aware that his contract was coming to an end.
“He’s played in a variety of roles for Colchester United but I see him as a right-sided attacking player and I’m confident that he’ll contribute much to the team both in terms of goals and assists.
“The chairman (Steve Brown) and I have put a lot of hard work into this and I’m delighted to have the player on board.”
