St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright could soon be looking for a new assistant, with Callum Davidson set to join up with Gary Rowett at Stoke City.
The 41-year-old has been Wright’s number two since the Northern Irishman took over from Steve Lomas five years ago, and in that time he also had a spell in Gordon Strachan’s backroom team during Scotland’s World Cup qualifiers.
Davidson and Rowett are former team-mates at Leicester City.
Stoke were relegated from the Premiership last season and Rowett was lured from Derby County to help them back up at the first time of asking.
