Steven Anderson’s ankle injury does not appear to be serious, St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright has reported.
The centre-back was taken off on the hour mark during Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Hibs, with Wright fearing Anderson could be facing a spell on the sidelines.
But the news from the McDiarmid Park treatment room yesterday was positive.
“The physio has had a look at Ando’s ankle and it is better news that we thought it could be,” said Wright.
“It’s not too bad, he might be able to train later this week.
“If not, he’s only going to be out for days rather than weeks so that’s great news.”
