Callum Hendry is hoping to continue his goal-scoring streak against Dundee tomorrow.
The St Johnstone forward has already found the net against the Dark Blues’ reserves this week, a strike that followed two for the Saints Colts at Tannadice in the IRN-BRU Cup and one for the first team in the Betfred Cup against Queen of the South.
Confidence is sky high for the 20-year-old, who is looking for more game-time and goals at McDiarmid Park this weekend.
“Hopefully I get a chance at some point on Saturday,” said Hendry.
“Tony (Watt) did well again against Queen of the South, scoring two goals, and will probably keep his place.
“If I’m on the bench I’d love to get more minutes and come on and score against Dundee.
“I definitely got a massive confidence boost from the double at Tannadice. There was a knock-on effect for the Queen of the South game and I’ve kept it going with another goal against Dundee in the reserves on Monday.
“Hopefully I can keep it going for even longer.
“I feel fit and good about the way I’m playing and I’ll keep fighting for a place in the team.
“When I get the ball now I feel like I’m going to score every time I have a shot. My confidence is the best it has ever been.”
