Scott Tanser’s bounce back from a James Forrest-inflicted nightmare has earned the admiration of St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright.
The Celtic winger produced a stunning individual performance in the 6-0 thrashing of Saints at McDiarmid Park, with Tanser the man who had the thankless task of going up against him that Sunday.
But the Englishman hasn’t let one torrid afternoon set him back and he has hit top form in the last five games that have produced five wins and clean sheets.

“Scott deserves a lot of credit for the way he has come back from the Celtic game,” said Wright.
“He has steadily grown as a player since he came to us and has had a very good season.
“Not many full-backs would have coped with James Forrest that day but what has impressed me most was his character in bouncing back.
“He has been excellent in the five games since and you can see the confidence he’s got at the moment.
“That’s a big thing for him. He was someone who used to grow into games rather than start well but lately he’s been at it from the beginning.
“I am very pleased with him.”
