St Johnstone striker David McMillan has joined Hamilton Accies until the end of the season.
McDiarmid boss Tommy Wright revealed last week that the 30-year-old Irishman who joined Saints from Dundalk was free to find another club.
He has now been snapped up by Accies who have appointed Brian Rice as their new head coach following the departure of Martin Canning on Tuesday.
Hamilton face Dundee this weekend in a crunch bottom-of-the-table Premiership clash.
