St Johnstone had to settle for a point after being denied the win by a 90th minute equaliser in Paisley.
It looked as if Chris Kane had scored the goal to beat St Mirren for the second time in a few weeks but Danny Mullen’s spectacular volley made it 1-1.
Kane, a second half substitute hadn’t been on the pitch long when he found the net with a low finish after being set-up by Richard Foster. Special mention should go to Liam Craig for his exquisite cross-field pass that started the move.
With only a few seconds left of normal time, though, Saints keeper Zander Clark had no chance of keeping out Mullen’s sweet strike from just inside the box.
A draw was probably a fair result, with the Perth side showing just as much commitment as the team fighting to stay in the league.
