St Johnstone are set to make a double signing, with Stevie May being one and Estonian international centre-back Madis Vihmann the other.
Courier Sport understands May has agreed his release from Aberdeen and has chosen to return to his boyhood club where he made his name and won the Scottish Cup ahead of several other sides, including Dundee.
It is likely to be a significant week for Saints in the transfer market as 23-year-old defender Vihmann is on his way to the Perth club from Flora Tallinn.
Vihmann, who has been capped 20 times, has been playing on loan in Norway with Stabaek, meaning he will be ready to hit the ground running at McDiarmid Park.
Manager Tommy Wright has been on the hunt for a commanding central defender following Joe Shaughnessy’s departure and, at 6’5” tall, Vihmann fits the job description.
