Eve Muirhead’s team reached their second final in successive weeks to round off an encouraging start to the season in Canada.
They once again had to settle for the runners-up position at the Colonial Square Ladies Classic, losing 7-4 to China’s 2009 world champions Team Wang.
“Another week, another final,” Muirhead said.
“From last week in Edmonton we continued to build on our performance having some great games but also lots of learning curves.
“There of course is still room for improvement but this early in the season and we as a team feel we are in a great place and are aiming to continue to show the benefit of the work we have done on ice and off during the summer months.”
The Scots had been made to demonstrate their fighting qualities in the tournament played under the triple knockout format, after losing matches in the A and B routes to find themselves having two knockout matches in the C route ahead of the play-offs.
This excellent start to their season has placed Team Muirhead back into the top four in the world tour rankings.
