Kinross athlete Eilidh Doyle has added to Team Scotland’s bumper medal haul on the Gold Coast.
The track and field star, the country’s flag bearer Down Under, secured silver in the women’s 400m hurdles at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Elsewhere Team Scotland also took silver in the women’s triples lawn bowls event thanks to the efforts of Kay Moran, Stacey McDougall and Caroline Brown. It is the country’s first ever medal in the event.

There was also a bronze for Seonaid McIntosh, of Dollar, in the women’s 50m rifle prone shooting event.

And Scotland is also guaranteed another medal later on after the men’s lawn bowls team beat England 18-10.
Bowler Darren Burnett, of Arbroath, will be looking to add another gold medal to his 2018 haul as he plays in the singles final tomorrow.
