The Kitmart Dundee Stars have signed forward Matt Bissonnette. He joins the ice hockey club as a well-known name in the EIHL following spells with Manchester Storm and Belfast Giants. Bissonnette has recorded 48 points in 57 games during his time in the United Kingdom. Stars general manager Omar Pacha knows him well and is delighted to bring him to Dundee. He said: “Bizz was a key part of our squad a few years back at Manchester. “He is a guy that has great vison and a fantastic work ethic. “He brings a bit of everything to our side. He has size, can slow the game down and can be a pivotal playmaker for us this season.” Bissonette, who hails from Beaconsfield in Canada, shared his delight at joining the Stars. He said: “As soon as Pach gave me the call I was extremely excited. “He got the best out of me at Manchester. “Coming to Dundee is exciting. “I know a number of guys that have played there and they have only said good things. I am looking forward to my time at the club.”
