Local athletes Laura Muir and Eilish McColgan have won gold and silver respectively at the 2018 European Championships.
Muir, of Milnathort, earned first place in the women’s 1,500m and McColgan, of Dundee, grabbed second place in the women’s 5,000m final in Berlin on Sunday evening.
It is the final day of the inaugural European Championships, which has taken place across both the German city and Glasgow.
The huge sporting event has seen more than 4,500 athletes competing across a number of sports for some 187 gold medals.

Speaking to the BBC following her win, Muir said: “I just knew the girls had a good finish so the longer I left it the riskier it would be so I just ran as hard as I could for the finish line. It was great Laura (Weightman) could get in behind me too.
“It was probably the most pressure I’ve been under in terms of the level of expectation to win, it was something new for me and I think I’ve handled it really well. I’m just thankful for the support I’ve had from back home and here as well.”
