Scotland have made one change to England’s five for the Calcutta Cup clash on Saturday at BT Murrayfield, with Magnus Bradbury returning to the side after injury.
Nick Haining, Bradbury’s fellow Edinburgh loose forward who had a strong debut against Ireland in Dublin on the opening weekend of the Guinness Six Nations Championship, makes way and drops to the bench where he replaces Cornell du Preez.
Bradbury played and scored a try – the first by a Scottish No 8 for nine years – in the famous comeback against England at Twickenham last March. While normally a blindside flanker for his club he can play at No 8 and offers a bigger physical presence there.
He missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury.
The only other change from the 23 that were picked for Dublin is Simon Berghan returning as the replacement tight-head for WP Nel. Berghan was an eleventh hour omission from Saturday’s team due to illness.
England have made five changes to the team that lost in France on Sunday, with Mako Vunipola, George Kruis, Lewis Ludham, Willie Heinz and Jonathan Joseph coming in.
