Michelle Keegan has signed up for a new series of Our Girl.
The actress, 31, will return as Georgie Lane in the fourth instalment of the BBC One drama.
Keegan, who is up for a National Television Award for her performance in the show, said: “Being in Our Girl has been one of the highlights of my career so far.
“I feel very lucky to be part of the show and I’m really excited that it’s coming back.
“The audience response has been so positive and I think Georgie is a character who resonates with viewers.

“I absolutely love playing the role. Be prepared for another incredible series – Georgie’s still got unfinished business.”
The six-part series will see Georgie promoted to Sergeant and returning to Afghanistan “to face her own fears”.
The previous series ended in July.
Mona Qureshi, executive producer for BBC One, said: “(Writer and creator) Tony Grounds’ storylines for this series bring fresh and exciting challenges for Georgie as she battles personal demons and for 2 Section, who have some new members to accommodate.”
Keegan is up for best drama performance against Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer, Doctor Who’s Jodie Whittaker, Peaky Blinders’ Cillian Murphy and Bodyguard’s Richard Madden at Tuesday’s National Television Awards.
Filming of Our Girl begins in South Africa in April.
