Ariana Grande looks set to dominate the charts this week, with her album leading the race for number one and two of her singles competing for the top spot.
The US star’s fifth album is currently outperforming the rest of the top five, with half of its combined sales total coming from streams, said the Official Charts Company.
If its momentum continues, Thank U, Next will become Grande’s third chart-topping album this Friday, following Dangerous Woman (2016) and Sweetener, which topped the chart just six months ago.
Over on the singles chart, Grande’s current number one, 7 Rings, is still in pole position at midweek stage.
However, her new single, Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored, is only 41 combined sales behind.
Needy, another track from Thank U, Next, is currently at six.
Other moves in the top 10 see Calvin Harris on track to claim a 19th top three single with Giant featuring Rag ‘n’ Bone Man at three, and Lewis Capaldi’s Someone You Loved is poised for a new peak of number five.
Westlife could rebound into the top 20 with Hello My Love (16) following the release of a dance remix from fellow Irish artist John Gibbons, while Khalid & Disclosure are just behind with their new collaboration Talk at s17.
Following the death of London rapper Cadet at the weekend, his single Advice with Deno Driz is set to return to the Top 40, currently at 37.
