Dundee’s new Skoda dealership officially opened its doors on Monday, eight months after the demise of the previous franchise.
The John Clark Motor Group has invested £250,000 in its specialist Skoda dealership on Myrekirk Road.
It had wanted to open the franchise in the former Norman Fairweather premises on Kingsway East where the previous Skoda franchise was but opted to move the dealership when the larger premises on Myrekirk Road became available.
Although the dealership opened last month to service vehicles, it is now also selling new and used Skodas.
The John Clark Motor Group has invested more than £6 million in its four car dealerships in Dundee.
Company chairman John Clark said, “I am particularly pleased that this new businesses will build on the long relationship that the John Clark Motor Group has enjoyed with Dundee.”
The group is projecting an annual turnover of £8 million for the new dealership with anticipated sales of 400 new and used vehicles. Fourteen jobs have been created.
The John Clark Motor Group is Scotland’s fourth-largest motor trade group.
