Peugeot is celebrating its 200th anniversary with a 200hp hot hatch version of the 308.
The 308 GT THP 200 contains the 1.6 litre turbocharged petrol engine from the RCZ coupe. It develops 200hp (197bhp), pushing the car from 0-62mph in 7.7 seconds and will go on to 140mph.
Thanks to the small displacement of the engine and various other trickery, fuel economy is 40.8mpg and CO2 emissions a low-ish 159g/km.
Differentiating it from the herd are a black, carbon-style insert under the front bumper lower skirt, lower front and rear bumpers, rear spoiler and twin chrome exhaust pipes.
Inside, there’s sports seats, aluminium pedals, leather wheel with aluminium detailing, and half leather upholstery.
It’s on sale now for £21,995, and customers who get their car delivered this month also receive a Nokia smartphone.
