Seat releases Alhambra details

Seat has released details of its new Alhambra people carrier.

Essentially the same car as Volkswagen’s new Sharan, it’s 22cm longer and 9cm wider than the model it replaces.

A seven-seater, the second and third rows of seats fold flat into the floor when not in use.

Luggage space is 885 litres with five seats in use and 2297 with five folded.

There will be a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines, with output ranging from 138 to 198bhp.

More details and prices will be available closer to its on-sale date later this year.
