Thousands of people are expected to descend on the white slopes of Glen Shee this Easter weekend as the ski season defies the rule book and continues well into spring.
Perthshire’s Glenshee ski centre is experiencing its busiest run in more than 10 years, with upwards of 3000 winter sports enthusiasts taking to the mountains many weekends.
Director Stewart Davidson said he expected the “unseasonal snow” to continue into the middle of April.
“This is the first time in a good few years we’ve been able to open over Easter and the snow looks like it will stay for at least the next week or two,” he said.
One avid snowboarder said the season had been a “dream come true”.
“When the sun is shining there’s no better place to be than flying down a Scottish mountain.”
