Two people were rushed to hospital after a collision between a tractor and a motorbike in the Mearns.
Emergency services personnel attended the incident on the A92 near Kinneff at around 1pm on Sunday, with the biker understood to have broken a number of bones.
Paramedics attended the scene and conveyed both of the drivers to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Officers directed traffic until the vehicles could be removed from the road.
Crews from Laurencekirk, Inverbervie and Stonehaven fire stations were called out, but cutting gear was not required.
Firefighters assisted the ambulance team as they checked the people over for injuries.
Grampian Police could not confirm whether the injured parties were male or female or what direction they were travelling in at the time of the accident.
A police spokesman said the injuries were not life threatening.
