Dundee United defender Robbie Neilson has been banned from driving for two months for speeding.
The 31-year-old former Hearts favourite was also fined £400 at Dumfries JP Court on Tuesday after he admitted driving at 106mph on the M74 near Ecclefechan in August.
Neilson, who was capped for Scotland, was transferred from the Tynecastle club to English championship side Leicester City in 2009 but was freed at the end of last season after a loan spell with Brentford.
The court was told he was training at Falkirk at the time of the offence and had been returning south to his family home at Quorn, Loughborough.
Neilson, who also had loan spells with Queen of the South and Cowdenbeath during his early spell with Hearts, joined the Tannadice side last month and his solicitor said that Neilson needed his car to commute with his partner and children.
