Perth-based drilling engineering consultants Merlin ERD have received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise the UK’s highest accolade for business success.
The royal seal of approval recognises the expert extended reach drilling (ERD) consultancy’s outstanding performance in the international trade sector.
Politicians, council officials, staff and business leaders gathered at the company’s HQ yesterday as the Lord Lieutenant of Perth and Kinross, Brigadier Mel Jameson, presented the coveted rose bowl that sets Merlin ERD among Scotland’s elite businesses.
Founded in 2007, Merlin ERD is one of only 10 businesses in Scotland in three sectors to be rewarded in this year’s Queen’s Awards, and one of only around 100 across the UK.
