The Byre Theatre in St Andrews will host its first auction on Saturday, Apil 17, with a car hire and items signed by TV stars among its lots.
Items signed by musician K. T. Tunstall, actor Richard Wilson and comedienne Elaine C. Smith and a weekend’s car hire will be sold to make money for the theatre’s education work with children’s hospice Rachel House and with young people in Fife.
Some of the funds will also help develop the theatre’s artistic programmes and continued education and outreach.
Husband and wife auctioneering team Ian and Sandra Urie, of Macgregor Auctions, will take the bids.
Since Scottish Arts Council funding was cut in 2006, the theatre has worked with Fife Council and others to widen its reach across the region.
