Award-winning jewellery designer Lorraine Law has created a one-off piece to celebrate Perth’s 800th anniversary.
The exclusive kilt pin was unveiled on Thursday at her new studio, where Lorraine was joined by Provost John Hulbert and Helen MacKinnon from the Perth and Kinross Association of Voluntary Services (PKAVS). It will be donated to the charity for auctioning at the Perth 800 Charity Ball on Friday, September 3.
The spectacular charity event, hosted by PKAVS in partnership with Perth and Kinross Council, will take place in Perth Concert Hall with actor Andy Gray fronting the event as guest auctioneer.
Andy and the PKAVS team will put a number of exclusive items under the hammer to raise funds for the largest local charity.
Helen organised the event and she said, “We were delighted when Lorraine Law contacted us about this incredible gesture for the Perth 800 Charity Ball. Lorraine has been a great supporter of PKAVS in the past, raising hundreds for PKAVS Young Carers Project through a Sheer Indulgence Evening.
“The Perth 800 kilt pin ties in perfectly with this year’s ball theme and we can’t wait to see how much this exclusive piece goes for at auction.”
The launch coincides with the opening of the new Lorraine Law Design Studio in Princes Street.
Tickets for the ball are £45 and available from Helen on 01738 567076.
