Two pepper pot turrets which measure 4.2 metres in length and weigh 1.5 tonnes each were returned to the front of Carnegie Leisure Centre, Dunfermline, at the weekend.
The centre is undergoing a £17.2 million revamp and the pots had been removed in the refurbishment.
They were original structures of the grade B-listed building and weigh 1.5 tonnes each.
During the course of the refurbishment it was found the lead work of the pots had deteriorated and caused wet and dry rot.
The structures were craned back to their position on Saturday. The cranes were located in the NHS car park off Pilmuir Street, Dunfermline.
A spokesman for Fife Council said, “The pepper pots are an important part of Carnegie Leisure Centre’s Edwardian appearance.
“They had to be replaced and the three-month project was carried out by Falkirk-based Matheson Plumbing.
“The work involved skilled joinery and leadwork.
“Every effort has been made to not only greatly improve the sport and leisure facilities, but to retain the listed elements of the building.”
