Dundee United and Dinamo Moscow are facing disciplinary action from Uefa over crowd trouble at their Europa League qualifying match at Tannadice.
Fighting broke out in the Jim McLean Fair Play stand between United and Dinamo fans after objects were allegedly thrown by home supporters in the upper tier to the visitors on the level below.
United issued a statement confirming that Uefa have begundisciplinary proceedings afterincidents at the first leg tie last Thursday.
”The governing body have opened proceedings against both Dundee United and Dinamo Moscow for crowd disturbances and the attempted invasion of the pitch by supporters of Dundee United FC,” the statement read.
”The case will be dealt with by Uefa control and disciplinary body on August 23 and the club are assisting them with their inquiries.”
The trouble broke out just after the match kicked off, with Dinamo fans climbing to the upper tier to confront home supporters.
A United fan also ran on to the pitch.
The trouble was contained after several minutes and the game continued with a heavy police presence around the stand.
A 27-year-old Russian was arrested but later released after a decision by the procurator fiscal.
Two Dundee United fans were also arrested and charged with breach of the peace.
The match ended 2-2 and the return leg takes place in Moscow on Thursday.
