The former scrum-half’s friend Craig Samson a partner with Tayside law firm Blackadders approached us to see if we could assist in marking the Dundee-born player’s birthday.
Craig supplied anecdotes from Andy’s childhood and playing career, which we turned into a tribute under the headline ‘Life and crimes of rugby legend Nicol’.
