The organisers of an inaugural amateur cycling event have given a children’s charity a hefty cheque during a visit to the race route.
Sportive Kinross presented £2705 to charity partner Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) during their visit.
The money has been raised from registrations and donations for the April 23 event, which starts and ends at Loch Leven Community Campus and takes in Kinross-shire and Fife with three routes to suit all types of riders and all levels of fitness.
Sportive Kinross has handed over £4205 for CHAS to date, with over £7000 expected to be raised in total.
