Scottish snappers tee off in support of injured colleague Derek Blair

A fund-raising golf day has taken place in west Fife to raise money for an injured photographer.

Derek Blair was injured following a car accident in 2010 and it was decided to hold the event at Forrester Park Golf Club near Dunfermline.

The event was organised by the Scottish Press Photographers’ Association.

Derek, a former photographer at the Daily Record, is being treated at Astley Ainslie hospital in Edinburgh after being in intensive care at the Southern General in Glasgow and the Western General in Edinburgh after the accident in November.

He previously worked in America and photographed the election of Barack Obama and the hurricane season in Haiti.
