Fringe comedians face a real tanking at Deep Sea World

Stand-up comedians are used to facing hostile audiences, but a group of daredevil comics faced the gig of their lives at Deep Sea World.
Forget pithy rebukes to hecklers, these daredevil comics had to come up with snappy one liners when they dived with the sharks at the North Queensferry centre.
Up to 16 brave souls are walking away from the mic and into the jaws of danger, and the comedians are all part of the Stand Comedy Club’s biggest Edinburgh Festival Fringe line-up.
This year there are 46 shows every day across five venues.
Dave McGuire said, “Every stand-up has experienced some serious amounts of abuse.
“However, when you’re on stage, the worst you can expect is a verbal assault these sharks tend to use rows of razor-sharp teeth to make their point.”
