Confident Dundee United fan pre-emptively celebrates Scottish Cup final win with tattoo
ByAlan Richardson
A Dundee United fan is so confident of victory in the Scottish Cup final on May 17 he has tattooed the date on a list of previous wins for the Arabs.
A photograph of the mystery man’s appeared on social media sites this week.
The tattoo on his calf appears to have been inked in the wake of the team’s first Scottish Cup victory in 1994, when Craig Brewster’s goal secured a win against Rangers.
He has added 2010 when United beat Ross County 3-0 in the final and, pre-emptively, 2014.
The image has proved an online hit with Dundee United fans but gone down less well with supporters of their fellow finalists, St Johnstone.
One said: “It’s cheeky but hopefully he will be back at the shop getting it re-done on the 18th of May.”
