The staff and customers of a Dundee gym are setting a fine example by getting fit for the Pink Ribbonwalk at Scone Palace.
Christine Jardine, owner/manager of women’s gym Curves at Dundee’s City Quay, has organised a large group of participants for the Saturday June 14 event.
Although Christine, 27, has not had a personal experience of breast cancer, many of her clients have.
“Every other week I hear members talking about someone they know who is going through or recovering from breast cancer, which made me think I would like to do something for them,” she said.
“Doing this walk makes me feel like part of a team and although I don’t know some of the members or their friends who have gone or are going through with their diagnosis, it makes me feel like I am doing something to help them in return.
“I also get to raise money for a charity who provide so much support and specialist information to all those who do experience breast cancer.
“There are 28 of us walking this year it will be an amazing day at Scone Palace.”
