If you love football there are reasons to be cheerful and, if you hate football there are reasons to be cheerful.
So just be cheerful.
The reason I think your demeanour will be one of good cheer is that the cup final is almost upon us.
My reasoning continues thus:
The chances, I deduce, are that you are either tremendously excited about the big game or tremendously excited because it is nearly all over.
Either way, it is tremendously exciting. Which is nice.
We have (deep breath) some terrific pictures, a fat mascot in a pie pod, amazing stories of split loyalties, an eight page souvenir supplement and more match previews than you can shake a stick at (if you were to be so inclined). It is a brilliant package that fans of both sides (and lovers of the beautiful game in general) would be frankly foolish to miss.
But, and this is a big but. More of a BUT if you will. We also have much more than mere football to wet your weekend whistle.
Perhaps you may be interested in a right royal story about some very special visitors who are set to descend on Perthshire? You WILL be delighted to read all about it. But don’t KATE my word for it find out for yourself on perusing your weekend Courier.
We also have more on the thorny issue of petrol prices. Are you paying too much at the pump? The chances are that you may well be if you live in a rural area. Jolly unfair.
In other news, you can if you snap up your copy of The Courier meet the most hospitable guest house owners in Scotland. And that, dear reader, is official. They hail from Courier Country. Excellent stuff.
A bumper sports section also looks ahead to the big Tayside tussle. The team buses have headed off to Glasgow and our final previews have been written.
I am fairly sure all bases have been covered but, just in case you are not interested in Dundee United or St Johnstone, there are Fife play-offs to contend with, a Friday night Glasgow rugby match and Andy Murray in action against Rafa Nadal.
It will be a ridiculously wonderful weekend. I’m absolutely sure of it. Make it all it can be, and indeed more (if that’s even possible), by snapping up your copy of Saturday’s Courier. If you simply won’t take the hint and purchase print, why not try our digital edition? I would love to know the answer to that question so don’t be backward in coming forward. Thanks.
