The Central Scotland Highland Pony Club recently ran its Spring Show in conjunction with the Highland Pony Society’s Parade of Breeding Stallions at Gleneagles.
The supreme in-hand championship was awarded by Lesley Jolly, from Suffolk, to Rowan and Marguerite Osborne’s two-year-old filly Rosamaria na Dailach.
Home-bred by the Osbornes, from Kinclune, Kirriemuir, out of Rihanna na Dailach, this daughter of Glenmazeran na Dailach was on her first show outing.
In the ridden ring, the overall championship went to Laura Fraser’s novice gelding, Fingal of Mendick. This Highland, sired by Dougal of Mendick, was bred out of Megan of Craigiecat.
He was the top choice of the ridden judgeAlison McLeod, from Aberfeldy.
