Fault leaves thousands of BT customers without broadband
ByNews reporter
Around 20,000 BT customers found themselves without broadband on Friday night due to fault in one of the nodes which transfers information across the network.
A spokesman for BT said, “There’s a node that’s got a fault on it in the Edinburgh area.
“The resulting factor is that 20,000 users or customers are affected, largely in the southern Scotland and northern England area with some in the Northern Ireland area also affected.
“We have engineers out there now and are working to restore the systems as quickly as possible.”
