Lochgelly woman spared jail after breaking love rival’s nose
ByThe Courier Reporter
A woman who attacked a love rival in a Lochgelly pub and left her with a broken nose has been spared jail.
Sheriff Craig McSherry told Lynsey Wright (34) that although her offence was “vicious”, it was out of character and keeping her out of prison would enable her to pay her victim compensation.
Wright, of Erskine Street, Lochgelly, was ordered to pay £2,000 compensation and a £500 fine. She admitted assaulting Kim Henderson at Diamonds Bar on April 8.
While her victim was on the ground, Wright seized her by the hair and repeatedly kicked and punched her on the head and body to her injury.
The court heard Ms Henderson was in a relationship with Wright’s former partner.
Solicitor Selina MacKay said the offence was “totally out of character”.
