The police chief in Angus is calling on people to support a “wee fat lad from Glamis” as he prepares to undertake a three-day cycling expedition for MacMillan Cancer Support.
Chief Inspector Gordon Milne, the area commander for Angus, and Carmyllie PC Rod Taylor are taking part in the Butt to Barra cycle challenge along with 48 other emergency services personnel from around Scotland.
They will cycle from the Butt of Lewis to the Isle of Barra in the Outer Hebrides, a distance of around 170 miles, between Monday and Wednesday next week.
