Bang out of order Lady Boys’ kilts stolen on visit to Dundee
ByThe Courier Reporter
The Lady Boys of Bangkok faced having to grin and bear it after thieves in Dundee broke into their changing rooms and stole their kilts.
After a rummage through their drawers they made off with three plaids from the spectacular show’s tented village in Baxter Park.
The kilts were to have formed an important part of the extravaganza, which opens at Baxter Park this evening.
That forced three of the show’s top attractions to make a swift dash to a city clothing hire company, where their manager was able to secure replacements.
“We had to help out as everyone knows the show must go on,” said A1 Kilt Hire’s David Dalrymple.
The show returns to Dundee this evening after a hugely successful visit in 2014 and promises comedy, songs, dancing and more than 200 specially designed and lavish costumes now minus a few.
