VIDEO: City museum provides new berth for pride of the DP&L fleet

Its ships were recognised by generations of holidaymakers and took the names of Scotland’s cities across the world with them.

Others were the pride of the east coast, with owners DP&L (Dundee, Perth & London) taking pride in the fact that its steamers could outpace those of rivals.

Now a collection of stunning models representing the DP&L fleet will go on display as part of a larger collection that chronicles Dundee’s rich maritime history.

After being secured for the city, the items will be going on display at the McManus Galleries.
