The chairman of Dundee’s under-fire Alliance Trust is to leave the business after four years.
Karin Forseke will step down from her role on January 1 and will be replaced on an interim basis by non-executive director Gregor Stewart.
The move comes just weeks after the West Marketgait-headquartered Trust announced the largest restructure in its 127 year history following a major boardroom battle earlier in the year with key shareholder Elliott Advisers.
Senior independent director Alastair Kerr will also leave at the same time as Ms Forseke and the job of finding a permanent replacement will fall to Karl Sternberg, who only joined the board in September.
Ms Forseke said it was the “right time” to move on as the corporate restructure bedded in.
“I feel privileged to have served this exceptional company over the past four years,” she said.
