Tom Daley looking forward to promoting Glasgow 2014

British diving’s golden boy Tom Daley will tell Scots this weekend why the whole country should get behind next year’s Commonwealth Games.

Tom, 19, who was unveiled as Glasgow 2014’s latest ambassador, will meet fans in the city and set out his plans to defend the two golds he won at Delhi in 2010.

Tom joins Sir Chris Hoy and Rebecca Adlington as champions of Glasgow 2014. He will address fans and answer questions an event in Fruitmarket, Glasgow, on Sunday.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing Glasgow and being part of the countdown to the Commonwealth Games,” Tom said.

Sunday’s event will also include a performance by Games’ mascot Clyde and his dancing crew.
